Obio/ Akpor CTC Chairman, Dr. Lawrence Chukwu visits scene of fire incidence in Mgbuoshimini community

The Caretaker Chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA. of Rivers State, Dr. Lawrence Chukwu today, visited the scene of a fire incident that razed down make-shift houses in  Mgbuoshimini community where four persons had died and many others injured.
The fire which started during the wee hours of the night destroyed properties, rendered the occupants mainly traders and peasants homeless.
Dr. Chukwu promised the affected people that his Council will do everything possible within its reach to help them alleviate their suffering.
He said all hands must be on deck to elect a government that will provide affordable and good housing for the masses.
The Chairman commiserated with the families of the dead and prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead.
He told the affected persons that the government will reach them through the CDC Chairman and the Councillor representing the area.
Meanwhile, the owner of the affected properties, Mrs. Ifeoma Kalu has urged the government to come to her aid as she has lost all her investments as a result of the fire incidence. She was unable to explain the cause of the fire. 
In their response, the people thanked the Chairman for his prompt response to their distress call and urged the government to come to their aid.
